How does PhotoClarity work?
Choose a cleanup section, then review one item at a time. Swipe left to add an item to the pending-delete list or right to keep it. Nothing is deleted until you finish and confirm the batch through the iPhone or Android system prompt.
Where do deleted items go?
On iPhone, they move to Recently Deleted in Apple Photos, normally for 30 days. On Android, they move to your gallery provider’s Trash or recycle bin under that provider’s retention rules.
How do I recover a photo or video?
- Open Apple Photos or your Android gallery app.
- Open Recently Deleted, Trash, or Recycle bin.
- Unlock it if prompted.
- Select the item and choose Recover or Restore.
Can I undo a swipe?
Yes. While reviewing a section, use Undo to reverse your most recent decision. After you confirm deletion, recovery must be handled from Apple Photos or your Android gallery’s recovery area.
Why can PhotoClarity see only some photos?
You probably granted limited or selected-media access. In iOS or Android Settings, open PhotoClarity’s permissions and allow full photo access, or change the selected items available to the app.
Why does the app need photo-library access?
Photo access lets PhotoClarity show and organize items for your review. The app uses Apple Photos or Android’s system confirmation before moving any items you approve into the platform’s recovery area.
Does PhotoClarity upload my library?
No. Your photos, videos, photo metadata, cleanup decisions, and progress stay on your device. The free version uses an advertising service, but PhotoClarity never gives it access to your photo library.
What are Smart Finds?
They are focused shortcuts to screenshots, large videos, bursts, and selfies. iPhone uses Apple Photos categories; Android uses MediaStore information such as albums, filenames, media type, and size. Results can vary by device and gallery provider.
Why is the space figure sometimes an estimate?
Android uses the file size reported by MediaStore when available. Apple does not always expose an exact local size, especially with iCloud Photos optimization, so iPhone may use a practical estimate. Actual recovered space can differ.
Why did a deleted photo reappear or remain visible?
Photo libraries can take a moment to refresh, especially with cloud-backed libraries. Return to the home screen or reopen PhotoClarity. If the operating system did not confirm removal, PhotoClarity leaves the items untouched and lets you try again.
How do I reset my cleanup progress?
Use the reset option in PhotoClarity to clear locally stored review progress and cleanup totals. This does not delete any photos or videos from your library.
Can I use PhotoClarity with iCloud Photos?
Yes. PhotoClarity works through Apple’s Photos framework. Some previews may take longer to load when the full-resolution item must first download from iCloud, and recovered space depends on your iCloud Photos and Optimize Storage settings.
What does PhotoClarity+ include?
PhotoClarity+ removes third-party ads and cleanup cooldowns and unlocks the duplicate and blurry-shot finders. The exact localized price and billing period are shown before you confirm a purchase.
How do I manage or cancel PhotoClarity+?
On iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → PhotoClarity. On Android, open Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → PhotoClarity. You can view the renewal date or cancel there; access normally continues through the paid period.
I subscribed, but PhotoClarity+ is not active.
Use Restore Purchases in PhotoClarity and make sure the App Store or Google Play is signed in with the account used for the purchase. If it still does not unlock, email support and include any error message—never send a full payment-card number.
