Privacy policy

Last updated September 8, 2026

This policy explains how JesterMedia handles information in Gem Craze and when you contact us about the game.

No account is required. Progress is saved on your device. The game uses Firebase Analytics and advertising services; offline gameplay does not mean that the app never sends information when connected.

Information on your device

Gem Craze saves your unlocked level, gem dust balance, remaining Freeze, Drill and TNT charges, daily streak, sound and haptic preferences, and analytics preference in local app storage. The current board and remaining time are held during play. Closing the app may restart an unfinished attempt. The game does not provide a JesterMedia account or cloud progress sync.

The app does not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location. It does not ask you to provide a player name, email address, or payment information to play.

Gameplay analytics

Gem Craze uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand gameplay and improve the experience. Analytics is enabled by default in the release app and can be turned off using Share gameplay analytics in the pause or help settings.

Events include level starts, retries, completion or timeout, level number and name, crystals cleared, time remaining, booster use, and rewarded-ad outcomes. The service also processes app-instance identifiers and technical usage information such as app version, operating system, device characteristics, and sessions. These identifiers are not your name, but they are not the same as anonymous data.

The app's analytics integration disables advertising personalization and collection of the Apple identifier for vendors. Turning analytics off stops this integration's future collection; it does not automatically delete information already received by Google.

Advertising and consent

Gem Craze uses Google AdMob for menu banners, occasional ads between completed levels, and optional rewarded videos. AdMob can use Unity Ads and Liftoff Monetize (Vungle) as mediation partners. Which provider serves an ad depends on availability and configuration.

Advertising services may process IP addresses, approximate region inferred from IP, app or device identifiers, device and app details, ad impressions and interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. This supports ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and service reliability. See Google's mobile ads data disclosure.

The current app requests non-personalized ads and applies restrictive privacy settings to its mediation partners. This does not prevent the technical data processing needed to deliver or measure ads. Google's User Messaging Platform presents consent messages where required and configured. An Ad privacy choices control appears when the consent service requires it. The current app does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission.

Disabling gameplay analytics does not disable ad delivery or advertising-provider diagnostics. We do not sell player information for money. Some advertising disclosures may be treated as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable laws; use the available ad privacy controls or contact us to make a request.

Support messages

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments or device details you choose to send. We use these to respond and investigate your request. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or unnecessary personal information. Our email providers process messages for delivery and storage.

Service providers

These providers explain their own processing and privacy options:

Retention and international processing

Local preferences and progress remain until the app's data is removed, subject to device backups. Support correspondence is retained as needed to answer requests and maintain relevant security or legal records. Provider retention depends on the service and its settings; contact us for details about a particular request. We do not promise that removing the app deletes data already held by providers.

JesterMedia is based in the United States. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries under their applicable data-transfer arrangements and policies.

Your choices and requests

Because Gem Craze does not have accounts, we may need limited information to locate a record. We will explain what is necessary and any limits that apply. Turning off analytics or deleting local data does not by itself delete past provider records.

Children's privacy

Gem Craze is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game or support, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Website visits

This policy describes the app. Visiting these pages involves website hosting and, only if you allow it, website analytics. See the JesterMedia website privacy policy. The website's Privacy choices button and the app's settings are separate controls.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page and revision date when practices change. We will provide additional notice or request consent where required. A policy update does not retroactively authorize a new use of previously collected information.
