Reading the board
How do I play?
The wizard casts white light into the chamber. Drag a crystal horizontally or vertically through open cells to change where the light goes and what colour it becomes. Every orb around the edge lights only when it receives the exact colour it is asking for. Match them all inside the move budget. Crystals slide but never rotate, and a block of several cells moves as one piece.
What does each crystal do to the light?
A crystal keeps only what it and the beam have in common. Ruby passes red, emerald green, sapphire blue. Citrine passes red and green, aquamarine green and blue, amethyst red and blue. Diamond passes everything and obsidian passes nothing. Colour can only narrow, never widen, so a beam that crosses two crystals with nothing in common goes out entirely.
What do the rings and the centre of an orb mean?
The ring around an orb is the colour it is asking for. The disc at its centre is the colour currently arriving. When the two match, the orb lights and a check mark appears. A cross means light is arriving in the wrong colour, which is a different problem from no light at all — one needs a different filter, the other needs a different route.
Two beams reach the same orb. What colour does it get?
They add. Red arriving with green delivers yellow, green with blue delivers cyan, red with blue delivers magenta, and all three together deliver white. This is the opposite of what a crystal does: crystals subtract, arriving beams add.
What are prisms and splitters?
A prism turns the beam ninety degrees. Its orientation is fixed, because pieces slide but never rotate. A splitter throws the beam both ways at once, square to the direction it was travelling, and both halves keep the colour that entered.
Why will an orb not light even though the colour looks right?
The match has to be exact. An orb asking for blue is not satisfied by cyan or by white, even though both contain blue. Compare the ring against the centre disc: if they are not the same colour, the beam still needs another filter or another route.
Progress, stars & boosters
How is the move budget worked out, and how do I get three stars?
Every chamber is generated with a verified shortest solution, and the length of that solution is its target, shown as the par. Three stars means solving within the target without using a booster or a rewarded continue. The budget you are actually given is more generous than the target, so there is room to explore before it runs out.
Do I have to watch an ad to restart?
No. Restarting a chamber is always free and never spends a booster charge.
What do Reveal, Shatter, and Prism do?
You start with five of each, and they carry across chambers instead of resetting every attempt. Reveal highlights a stone worth moving — one that finishes the board if such a move exists, otherwise one that opens a two-move answer, otherwise whichever stone the light is currently dying on. Shatter removes the single crystal you tap. Prism drops a mirror on an empty cell; tap that mirror again to turn it the other way. Using any of them caps that attempt at two stars.
Is there an Undo?
No. A slide is final, and a crystal removed with Shatter is gone for that attempt, so it is worth planning a route before committing to it. Restarting the chamber is free if a move goes wrong.
What is prism dust for?
Finishing a chamber earns dust, more of it for more stars. In the shop on the home screen, 100 dust exchanges for one booster charge of your choice.
How does the daily streak work?
The streak counts consecutive days on which you open a chamber. Every seventh day restocks seven of every booster. Missing a day sends the track back to the start; the seven-day board on the title screen shows where you are.
What happens when I run out of moves?
If a rewarded video is available you can watch one to add exactly three moves to the current attempt, once per attempt. It does not change the chamber's target or its star thresholds, and the attempt is capped at two stars. You can always restart instead, for free and without watching anything.
Are there really 6,000 chambers?
Yes. Five introductory chambers teach the rules, and the rest are distinct generated chambers. Every one is generated with a verified solution that is replayed and checked before the chamber is handed to you. Layouts are generated on your device and stay the same when replayed. Later regions bring larger boards, prisms, splitters and more demanding colour routing; difficulty can vary within a region.
Where did my in-progress chamber go?
An unfinished attempt is saved on your device and Continue resumes it. Finishing a chamber clears the saved attempt. Progress is not synced to an account or to another device, and deleting the app removes it.
Is there a way to practise without spending anything?
Yes. Five guided lessons walk through sliding, filtering, prisms, splitters and reading an orb, with the relevant stone highlighted at each step. Practice spends no boosters, earns no dust or stars, and leaves campaign progress untouched.
Ads, sound & settings
When do ads appear?
An ad between chambers appears after every fifth completed chamber, never before the tenth, and never within two minutes of the previous one. Rewarded videos are always optional: one can add three moves to an attempt or replace a spent booster charge. Restarting is free.
An ad did not load or I did not receive the reward. What should I do?
Ads require an internet connection and may be unavailable. Let a rewarded video finish and use its close control to return to the game. A reward is granted only when the ad confirms it was earned. If it still fails, send us your chamber number, device model, app version, and roughly when it happened.
Can I turn off analytics or sound?
Yes. Settings has Share gameplay analytics, which stops future gameplay analytics collection, along with controls for chamber sounds and haptics. An Ad privacy choices control appears when the consent service requires it.
Does Jester Prism work offline?
All 6,000 chambers are generated on your device and play without a connection. Ads and analytics need one; the puzzles do not.
