Courantia News Privacy Policy
Courantia News displays articles and uses analytics and advertising services. Reading without a named account does not make all device or usage information anonymous.
Reading activity and preferences
Local preferences and saved reading state support the news experience. Firebase Analytics receives events such as opening the app, selecting a section, refreshing sources, and opening an article, including section or source information. Technical information can include app-instance identifiers, device and OS details, approximate region, and diagnostics.
Location and external content
Where location-based news features are available, location permission is optional and can be changed in your device settings. News sources, article websites, image hosts, and services used to retrieve content receive the connection data needed to return their content. Opening an article on a publisher’s website is governed by that publisher’s policies.
Advertising
The app uses Google AdMob. iOS advertising integrations include AppLovin, Unity Ads/ironSource, Liftoff Monetize (Vungle), and Unity Ad Quality. Available providers and features vary by app version and platform.
Advertising services may process IP addresses (including approximate location), advertising or app/device identifiers, product and ad interactions, and diagnostics to deliver ads, measure performance, prevent fraud, and personalize ads where permitted. These identifiers are not necessarily anonymous. Turning off personalized advertising or denying iOS tracking permission does not stop all technical processing needed to deliver an ad.
How we use and disclose information
We use information to deliver news, remember preferences, measure product interactions, diagnose errors, provide advertising, and respond to support. Providers include Firebase Analytics, Google AdMob and its listed integrations, content providers, and platform services. We do not sell your support correspondence. Advertising-related processing may be considered sale or sharing under some privacy laws.
See Google’s Privacy Policy, AppLovin’s Privacy Policy, Unity’s Privacy Policy, and Liftoff’s Privacy Policy.
Your choices and requests
Manage app permissions in your device settings. Where the app presents Privacy Options or an advertising consent form, use those controls to review your choices. iOS tracking settings and Android advertising settings provide additional controls, but do not replace all consent choices. Purchases and subscriptions are managed through the store account used to pay; deleting an app or account does not cancel a subscription.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; withdraw consent; restrict or object to processing; or opt out of targeted advertising or sale/sharing as those terms are legally defined. Contact us to exercise these rights or appeal a decision. We may verify your request using information proportionate to the request. We do not discriminate for exercising a privacy right. You may also contact your local privacy regulator.
Retention and security
Local data remains until cleared in the app or removed with the app, subject to device backups. Account and cloud records are retained to operate the features you use and handle deletion requests. Support, transaction, and security records may be retained as needed to resolve the request, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Service providers may retain separate records under their own policies. Contact us about a particular record or deletion request.
We use access controls and encrypted connections for supported cloud features. Authorized service providers and administrators may process data to operate, maintain, and secure the service. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children
Courantia News is not directed to children under 13 and includes real-world news that may address mature topics. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information improperly.
Visits to this website
This app notice describes the app. Visiting its product or support pages is covered by the website privacy notice, including optional website analytics and hosting connection data. Website privacy choices do not change app privacy settings.
Changes to this notice
We publish the revision date when this notice changes. Where required, we provide additional notice or request consent before materially changing how we use information. A revised notice does not retroactively authorize a new use of previously collected data.
