FeastFlipp Privacy Policy
FeastFlipp uses location and restaurant preferences to suggest places to eat. Guest play is available; optional accounts, saved data, group sessions, and advertising use external services.
Location and restaurant searches
With your permission, the app uses device location to find nearby restaurants. Coordinates are sent to restaurant-search services, including Google Places, to return relevant results. Location and restaurant coordinates may also be part of saved selections or group-session data. Revoke device location permission in iOS Settings; nearby results may then be limited.
Guest and optional account information
Guest sessions use Firebase Authentication identifiers. These are pseudonymous identifiers, not proof of anonymity. If you create an account or sign in, Firebase processes the credentials and identifiers needed for authentication. The app supports email/password and platform sign-in options; names and email addresses provided by those methods may be used for your profile.
Saved restaurant choices, profile information, preferences, and related activity may be stored locally and in Firebase Firestore. Group Flip uses cloud session records, participant identifiers and shared choices to keep the group in sync. Other participants can see information shared within the session.
Advertising and diagnostics
The free app uses Google AdMob, with iOS integrations including Unity/ironSource, Liftoff Monetize (Vungle), and Unity Ad Quality. The providers available depend on the app version and configuration.
Advertising services may process IP addresses (including approximate location), advertising or app/device identifiers, product and ad interactions, and diagnostics to deliver ads, measure performance, prevent fraud, and personalize ads where permitted. These identifiers are not necessarily anonymous. Turning off personalized advertising or denying iOS tracking permission does not stop all technical processing needed to deliver an ad.
How information is used
- Find restaurants and run individual or group selections.
- Authenticate users and save or synchronize profile and restaurant records.
- Deliver and measure advertising, diagnose failures, and protect services.
- Respond to support and privacy requests.
Providers and disclosure
Providers include Firebase Authentication and Firestore, Google Places, Google AdMob, its listed advertising integrations, and Apple platform services. See Google privacy information, Unity/ironSource privacy information, and Liftoff privacy information. We do not sell the restaurant records you enter. Advertising-related disclosures may be treated as sale or sharing under some privacy laws.
Deleting data
Use the account deletion control in the app to request removal of the signed-in profile and authentication record, and clear local data. If deletion fails or you need help with cloud or group-session records, contact us. Removing the app alone does not request deletion of cloud records or provider-held advertising data.
Retention and security
Local data remains until cleared in the app or removed with the app, subject to device backups. Account and cloud records are retained to operate the features you use and handle deletion requests. Support, transaction, and security records may be retained as needed to resolve the request, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Service providers may retain separate records under their own policies. Contact us about a particular record or deletion request.
We use access controls and encrypted connections for supported cloud features. Authorized service providers and administrators may process data to operate, maintain, and secure the service. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and requests
Manage app permissions in your device settings. Where the app presents Privacy Options or an advertising consent form, use those controls to review your choices. iOS tracking settings and Android advertising settings provide additional controls, but do not replace all consent choices. Purchases and subscriptions are managed through the store account used to pay; deleting an app or account does not cancel a subscription.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; withdraw consent; restrict or object to processing; or opt out of targeted advertising or sale/sharing as those terms are legally defined. Contact us to exercise these rights or appeal a decision. We may verify your request using information proportionate to the request. We do not discriminate for exercising a privacy right. You may also contact your local privacy regulator.
Children
FeastFlipp is designed for restaurant decisions and group planning. A store content rating does not mean advertising or location data is absent. Parents or guardians should manage device permissions for children. Contact us if you believe a child’s information has been collected improperly.
Visits to this website
This app notice describes the app. Visiting its product or support pages is covered by the website privacy notice, including optional website analytics and hosting connection data. Website privacy choices do not change app privacy settings.
Changes to this notice
We publish the revision date when this notice changes. Where required, we provide additional notice or request consent before materially changing how we use information. A revised notice does not retroactively authorize a new use of previously collected data.
