DinnerClarity Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of DinnerClarity (the "App"), published by JesterMedia LLC ("JesterMedia," "we," "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The App

DinnerClarity provides meal planning, recipe suggestions, pantry and grocery-list tools, cook mode, saved and family recipes, and optional cloud backup and household sharing. Features may change as we improve the App.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you use DinnerClarity on behalf of a household, you are responsible for how household members use shared information.

2. Accounts, Backup, and Sharing

An account is optional. If you create one, you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity under the account. Sharing a kitchen gives an invited household device access to synchronized plan, pantry, preference, feedback, favorite, and family-recipe information. Only share an invite code with someone you trust.

You may sign out or stop cloud synchronization. Contact support@jestermedia.app to request deletion of account-linked cloud data.

3. Meal, Allergy, and Food-Safety Disclaimer

Recipe tags, ingredient matches, substitutions, pantry estimates, cook times, nutrition-related preferences, and allergen classifications are informational and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Product formulations and labels can change. You are solely responsible for:

• checking every ingredient and product label for allergens and dietary suitability;
• following safe food handling, storage, preparation, and minimum cooking-temperature practices;
• deciding whether a recipe is appropriate for your health, household, age group, or dietary needs; and
• seeking advice from a qualified medical or nutrition professional where appropriate.

Do not rely on DinnerClarity in place of professional medical, allergy, nutrition, or food-safety guidance.

4. Grocery and Budget Estimates

All prices, package quantities, totals, servings, and pantry-coverage figures are estimates based on reference data and user-entered information. Actual availability, size, quality, price, tax, promotion, waste, and usage vary by retailer, brand, location, date, and household. DinnerClarity does not guarantee savings, availability, or a particular grocery total.

5. DinnerClarity+ Subscriptions

DinnerClarity is free to download and offers optional auto-renewing DinnerClarity+ subscriptions. Plus may remove ads and raise or remove limits on swaps, favorites, family recipes, and advance planning. The exact price, billing period, included features, and any introductory trial are shown in the App before purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel in your Apple subscription settings.
• If offered, an introductory trial is subject to Apple eligibility rules. Any unused trial period may be forfeited when you purchase.
• Deleting the App or signing out does not cancel a subscription.

Apple processes payments and refund requests. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, subject to Apple's policies and applicable law.

6. Advertising

The free version may show banner and interstitial ads and may offer an optional rewarded ad in exchange for an additional meal swap. Ad availability is not guaranteed. DinnerClarity+ removes ads while the subscription remains active.

7. Your Family Recipes and Other Content

You retain ownership of recipes and other content you enter. You grant JesterMedia a limited license to host, process, synchronize, and display that content only as needed to provide optional backup and sharing. You represent that you have the right to enter and share the content and that it does not violate law or another person's rights.

8. Acceptable Use

You may not misuse the App, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access to another household or account, probe or bypass security, automate abusive requests, reverse engineer except where law expressly permits it, upload unlawful or infringing content, or use DinnerClarity to violate applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property

DinnerClarity, its software, design, branding, bundled catalog, graphics, and other JesterMedia-provided content are owned by or licensed to JesterMedia and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App for lawful household purposes.

10. Third-Party Services

The App depends on services from Apple and Google. Their separate terms and policies apply to those services. Availability may be affected by network access, provider outages, account status, device compatibility, or changes made by those providers.

11. Availability, Changes, and Termination

We may update, add, suspend, or discontinue features. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, service integrity, or a violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DinnerClarity is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JesterMedia LLC and its members, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, food costs, adverse reactions, or losses arising from reliance on App suggestions. Our aggregate liability relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid JesterMedia for DinnerClarity in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Apple Terms

Your license to DinnerClarity is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. If these Terms conflict with mandatory Apple terms, the applicable Apple terms control.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your residence requires otherwise.

16. Changes and Contact

We may update these Terms and will post the revised version here with a new date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
